Shot in the summer months at North Curl Curl, my intention was to shoot the obelisk which has become synonymous icon with landscape photographers. Unfortunately (or fortunately) with the sun rising in a much more northerly direction this time of year, the light simply was not falling where i had intended (ill be back later on in the year to get this shot). In stead i went for something a little different, a portrait orientated 3:1 Panorama. The entire week leading up to this shot, Sydney had experienced non stop rain, i was lucky enough to be at the location to experience this beautiful sunrise, however shortly after, the cloud cover increased and Sydney was back to a drenching.
North Curl Curl is a suburb in northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 19 kilometres north-east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Warringah Council.
This was shot with Fuji Velvia 50 on my 617 Film Camera
